  7.                     Let me explain my ideas behind DCMG.  I started off in the modem and computer world with an Apple ][, then moved up to a ][+, ][e,  and then a //gs.  Well, I got sick of 
  8. the Apple II scene and moved on to the Macintosh scene.  I then purchased a Macintosh SE, later I upgraded to an SE/30, and at this point I am using a Macintosh IIci.  When I was running my bbs  off of my old Apple II systems, I and everyone else, were in a pirates paradise, with an Apple II (I am sure some of you know exactly what I am talking about) there were tons of pirate groups, tons of activities and tons of users freely distributing software months before the stores have heard of them!  Well, in the Macintosh pirate world this is all different.  The stores recieve the damned wares before the pirates, there are a very selected few of great Macintosh BBS's around, and I believe this has got to expand and open up.  I see the whole Macintosh pirate world in a closed circle with all the Apple II, IBM, Amiga and Atari pirates running around us.  This is pure bullshit.  Beyond my bluntness, there is yet to be seen a decent pirate group, or a decent pirate link between the good Mac BBS's around.

  10.                     I pledge to start the link between all the greatest bulletin boards, and all the greatest pirates.  What I am saying is not a joke.  I am totally serious, and I am willing to go through all costs to make it happen.  I have several other SysOps interested in linking, and/or working with DCMG to make it happen. [ The Terrorist ]

  12.                     Well, what more should I add to TT's intro to the DCMG concept.  I'm fairly new as a SysOp, but I have been BBSing for a long time, and it always suprises me to see that their is no real link in between BBS's in the great pirate community.  It sounded to me like being a SysOp was going along with being selfish, and not trying to establish contact and a steady relationship with some other good boards around.  I am not ashamed to say that I took some of the ideas for my BBS from boards that I was calling at the time.  In trying to gather the best of it in order to sculpt my board up to my dreams.  When TT came up with the idea, I was all up for it, that is what is missing in the BBS world. . .

  14.                     We all spent a lot of time on the conception of this issue of the DCMG Newsletter, and sure hope that you will like it as much as we do.  We'd like to thank all the people that contributed to this issue.  We know who you are.  You are the ones who helped us sculpt this newsletter!

  16.                     At last but not least, I'd like to thank in advance the people who will carry this Newsletter all over the BBS world nationwide.  This newsletter is, what the Mac community has been waiting for, adding Color and Graphics to the text in a Mac user-friendly interface.  This has never been done before, and TT and I are proud of it.

  18.                     I hope that you will like the content of this first issue, and maybe you'll be interested in writing an article for the next issue, or come up with some good ideas/suggestions. This was made for you from us, and not from us for us, we intend to fill the gap that their used to be in the Mac BBS Community and I sure do hope that we have somewhat succeded in it. . .
